COVID-19 Protocol

We Robot will take place as an in-person conference in Seattle. We are excited to return to physical meetings, but we understand the concerns of attendees regarding travel and COVID variants. We are committed to protecting the health and safety of attendees, in accordance with federal, state, and university guidance. The latest statewide COVID-19 information can be found on the governor’s website. This page will be updates as guidance changes.

  • We ask that all conference attendees are fully vaccinated. Vaccinations are a condition of employment at the University of Washington and boosters are strongly encouraged. We recommend bringing your proof of vaccination (physical card or photo of card) with you to the conference.
  • We ask that all conference attendees wear a high-quality, well-fitted mask indoors. While we have not seen a significant increase in cases in our area, masks are the best immediate protection against the spread of viruses.
  • We ask that all conference attendees eat and drink outdoors whenever possible. Beverage and food will be served in shared spaces. Masks are still recommended when not actively eating or drinking.
  • If you are concerned you have been exposed to COVID-19, please get tested. Rapid antigen tests are widely available in pharmacies and grocery stores. PCR testing is offered at various locations across Seattle. If you have trouble accessing an antigen or PCR test, please reach out to the conference organizers. We plan to have some antigen tests available, though our supplies will be limited.
  • If you have symptoms of any respiratory infection at any point during your travel or stay, please do not attend any conference gatherings.

Conference Location

Registration, presentations, panels, and poster sessions will be held at the University of Washington School of Law (William H. Gates Hall) in Seattle, WA.

This location is very walkable from The Graduate and surrounding businesses. King County metro buses and the Link Light Rail are great options for getting around the rest of Seattle via public transportation. App-based ride share is also widely available.

If you are planning to drive to and park on campus, you can find visitor parking information for the University of Washington here: https://transportation.uw.edu/park/visitor
